Mikkel Damsgaard set to join Brentford

Sampdoria have agreed terms with Premier League side Brentford over a move for Denmark winger Mikkel Damsgaard. The two clubs have been in talks for the last few weeks and have now reached an agreement with the player set to sign for the Bees this week.

BBC News, Gianluca Di Marzio and a number of others report that the 22-year-old is set to make a €15m move to England with his medical expected in the coming hours.

Damsgaard joined Samp in 2020 from Nordsjælland and went on to make 49 appearances for the club, scoring two goals in two seasons.
