Milan 2-0 Juventus: Player Ratings

Milan started the slower but soon got a foothold on the game and never looked back as they ran out deserved 2-0 winners against Juventus.

Milan

Tatarusanu: Good straightforward takes early on and was rarely tested by the misfiring Juve attack. 6.5/10

Kalulu: Under pressure from the start but weathered the Juve attack until he had more of a foothold in the match. 6.5/10

Gabbia: Solid and understated, did the simple things well. 6.0/10

Tomori: Looked more in command than in recent weeks and took his goal brilliantly. 7.0/10

Hernandez: Very direct but rode his luck a little with a few of his tackles, one of which should have been called back for a foul just before the goal. That said, his contribution to the team can never be understated. 6.5/10

Tonali: Strong start, getting stuck into the tackles and was generally excellent as the heartbeat of the Milan midfield . 6.5/10

Bennacer: Good work in the centre of the pitch and had a couple of good chances from range. 6.0/10

Pobega: Quiet opening ’45 but came into the game more in the second half before he was taken off. 6.0/10

Diaz: Pushed back Alex Sandro as the first half went on and had some half-chances. Scored a lovely solo effort with some dogged running and a good finish. 7.0/10

Leao: Saw his effort rebound off the post before firing another effort off the woodwork. 6.5/10

Juventus

Tek: Caught out a few times and had to do better on Milan’s second goal where he was all too easily beaten. Really poor. 4.0/10

Danilo: Bright start, anticipating Milan attacks but he decision making in the final third was abject. Almost made amends later on but his cross was wasted 5.0/10

Bremer: Not troubled a great deal but should have done better on the set-pieces. The better of the Juve defenders. 5.5/10

Bonucci: Had to do a little better on the Milan corners but his lack of effort on the Diaz goal is unforgiveable. Caught out time and time again.  3.5/10

Alex Sandro: Solid start and generally one of the more reliable of the back four. 5.5/10

Cuadrado: Good early runs down the flank, even though the end product was lacking. 5.0/10

Locatelli: Struggled a little in the early exchanges and failed to make any kind of impact on the match. 4.0/10

Rabiot: Started really positively, tough tackling and moving Juve forward. One of the few players to emerge with any sort of credit. 6.0/10

Kostic: Really struggled to get on the ball and get any kind of crosses into the Milan box. 4.5/10

Vlahovic: Had a good early chance that he scuffed but his first touch was poor thereafter. Dreadful pass to setup the Milan second, a performance to forget. 4.0/10

Milik: Great chance to put Juve ahead that he fired right at the keeper – Did the same in the second half from Danilo’s cross. 6.0/10

Substitutions:

McKennie: 4.5/10

Miretti: 5.0/10
