Milan derby for Folarin Balogun

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that both Inter and Milan are in the hunt for Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun, who is impressing in Ligue 1 this season. The English youngster joined Stade Reims on loan last summer from the Gunners and has gone on to become their leading goal scorer this season, netting 17 goals in domestic competitions.

La Gazzetta report that the Rossoneri are closely following Balogun’s progress to date and have a serious interest in acquiring, given that their front line includes 41-year-old Zlatan Ibrahmovic, 36-year-old Olivier Giroud and 27-year-old Divock Origi, who is yet to impress.

Alongside Milan, city rivals Inter have been following Balogun for some time now and are expected to make a bid of their own. With Romelu Lukaku failing to impress since his return and doubts over the future of Edin Dzeko, the Nerazzurri could look to invest in their attack this summer.
