Milan linked with move for Maxence Caqueret

Milan are reportedly in talks with the entourage of Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Maxence Caqueret over a summer move. The 22-year-old is a product of the Lyon youth academy and has become a key part of the first team in recent seasons, making his breakthrough in 2019.

According to RMCSport, Lyon are keen to tie him down to a new deal, but Milan are also interested in signing him this summer and have begun talks with his entourage. The report suggests that Milan will hold talks with Lyon to discuss the players future in the hopes of agreeing a deal for him this summer.

Caqueret’s contract with Lyon is due to expire in June 2023 and they’ve already offered to quadruple his salary in order to keep him. The player is reportedly happy in France, but is tempted by the prospect of playing in the Champions League with Milan, especially as Milan loo

Whilst he’s happy in France, the prospect of playing in the Champions League with Milan is very tempting, especially as Lyon look set to miss out on European football altogether this season.
