Milan to make contact for Folarin Balogun

Milan are the latest Serie A side to express an interest in Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun and are expected to be in contact with his agent soon. The 21-year-old has spent the season on loan with Ligue 1 side Reims where he scored 21 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions.

Calciomercato journalist Daniele Longo reports that the Rossoneri are preparing for the upcoming summer transfer window and are looking for a number nine to join their ageing attack.

Milan are expected to have a starting transfer budget of €50m and want to invest in a striker who will lead the line for years to come, and Balogun’s profile ticks many boxes for the Rossoneri.

For their part, Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for Balogun as they do not view him as ‘untouchable’, given Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah are higher up in the pecking order.

Milan are expected to begin contacts with Balogun’s agent before the end of the season, but expect to face competition from the likes of Bundesliga side RB Leipzig, who have also expressed an interest.
