Milan to renew Giroud and Pioli contracts

Start

Milan management are at work to renew the contracts of both head coach Stefano Pioli and striker Olivier Giroud. The pair were a fundamental part of the Rossoneri’s revival last season, helping them on the way to a 19th Serie A title, and are set to be rewarded for their efforts.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) report that the contracts of both expire in 2023 and the management are now planning to extend their agreements until at least the summer of 2024.

Pioli currently has a win percentage at Milan of more than 60%, with 87 games won out of a total of 152 and while he signed a renewal at the end of November 2021, the option for the following season could be exercised during the World Cup break.

Giroud has been with Milan since 2021 and has managed to score 20 goals in 53 appearances.
