Milan has found their new striker in Alvaro Morata, who completed his medical examinations and signed a contract with the Rossoneri on Wednesday. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the former Juventus player, fresh off his Euro 2024 victory with Spain.
In an interview with Sky Sport, Morata expressed his excitement about joining Milan. When asked about his decision, he stated, “It’s simple: the trust from Zlatan, the team, and the coach was the reason. I can’t wait to start. I need to take a vacation to be with my family who have helped me so much, otherwise I’d be training tomorrow already.”
This will be Morata’s third stint in Serie A following his two experiences with Juventus. The Spanish striker commented, “It’s a bit like coming home. You’ve always treated me with incredible respect. I can’t wait to go on vacation in Italy and train with the team before returning to Serie A.”
Morata, born in 1992, also shared what Ibrahimovic, Fonseca, and Furlani conveyed to him: “Many positive things. I know these are the best years of my career, so I want to be at a great club like Milan.”
Regarding his jersey number, Morata revealed, “I don’t know yet if I’ll take number 9. We still need to discuss it.”
