Napoli close to Federico Bernardeschi move

Reports from Italy suggest Federico Bernardeschi is very close to agreeing terms with Napoli on a free transfer this summer. The Italy international is out of contract this summer, having failed to agree an extension to his deal with Juventus.

Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the 28-year-old has been convinced by the Napoli project and is ‘very close’ to agreeing personal terms with the club.

The Partenopei are also close to agreeing a deal with Udinese for their Spanish winger Gerard Deulofeu but Di Marzio reports that the deal are independent of one another and won’t impact either player joining Napoli this summer.

Bernardeschi spent five seasons in Turin with Juventus, scoring 12 goals in 183 appearances.
