Napoli linked with Leo Skiri Østigård

Napoli are interested in signing Brighton defender Leo Østigård following his loan spell at Genoa last season. The 22-year-old joined I Grifone in January and while his performances were encouraging, they weren’t enough to save Genoa from the drop.

According to Sky Sport (via I Am Naples), Napoli are now interested in signing Østigård and are currently in talks to land him this summer.

Sky suggest that Napoli have already offered Brighton a fee of €3m, plus performance bonuses and a percentage of a future sale, with a deal looking likely seeing as his current deal at the Amex expires at the end of the month.

While there are still meeting to take place to help finalise the move, Sky a confident that the clubs will be able to find the ‘final agreement’ in the coming days.
