Reports from Italy claim Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis in talks with striker Victor Osimhen’s agents over a new contract. The Nigerian international helped drive the Partenopei’s title push this season and is likely to end the season as Serie A capocannoniere, having scored 23 league goals to date.
Napoli’s own Radio Kiss Kiss, who have often revealed a number of exclusives direct from the club, are reporting that De Laurentiis is in direct talks with Osimhen’s agents over a new contract.
The 24-year-old has a deal in place with the club until June 2025 but has been the subject of transfer rumours, linking him with the likes of PSG, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
For their part, Napoli have always insisted that the striker is not for sale, with De Laurentiis slapping a €100m price tag on his star man.
Earlier reports this week suggested that if the club were to sacrifice a player this summer, it would most likely be South Korean defender Kim Min-Jae as he has a €45m release clause in his contract which comes into effect from the beginning of July 2023.
