Fabrizio Romano Provides Update on AC Milan’s Dusan Vlahovic Interest
The prolific striker is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
AC Milan are keen on Dusan Vlahovic but a deal is not close despite speculation, Fabrizio Romano confirmed.
AC Milan Want Dusan Vlahovic But No Deal Yet
Vlahovic is facing an uncertain future in Turin, with his deal set to run down in June 2026. He will be able to negotiate with clubs over a pre-contract in February, and numerous suitors are circling.
His injury setback may have delayed a potential departure and given Juventus more time to hash out an agreement over an extension, but at present, he still looks set to leave at the end of the season.
Milan enquired last summer when the Old Lady looked to cash in on the 25-year-old, only to be put off by the costs involved. However, they have now reignited their interest and could swoop again next summer.
Vlahovic boasts an incredible 136 goals in 319 total appearances at club level across his career, and Milan are firmly in the race, even if they have not managed to hammer out terms at this early stage.
Providing an update on his YouTube channel, transfer expert Romano said: “We’ve known for some time that Vlahovic is on the list of Milan’s most desirable forwards.
“We’ve been saying it since last summer, which was a very chaotic summer for Milan. So much so that [Christopher] Nkunku finally arrived after so many situations and so many stories that belong to the past.
“We absolutely must confirm that Milan’s preference for Vlahovic remains.
“This doesn’t change anything. But from here to saying that Vlahovic has a pre-arranged and sealed agreement with Milan, today this isn’t confirmed by all parties involved.
“Neither Milan nor Vlahovic have any pre-arranged agreements.”

Will Dusan Vlahovic Stay At Juventus?
Romano also confirmed that Bayern Munich and Barcelona had made contact in October, but there have been no further talks.
As recently as this month, the Bianconeri were said to have been confident that Vlahovic would sign a new deal. Milan’s renewed push could alter the picture as the campaign progresses, though.
It remains to be seen whether Milan would be able to match the frontman’s current €22.2million per year salary.
For now, Vlahovic’s uncertain future looks as though it will have to wait until next summer.
When Will Dusan Vlahovic Return From Injury?
Vlahovic picked up a severe adductor injury against Cagliari in November and limped off looking visibly distraught.
As he made his way to the bench, he was heard telling boss Luciano Spalletti: “Mister, I’ve really hurt myself.”
Spalletti confirmed the extent of the issue, telling reporters: “It’s a strain and he will be out for some time.”
The striker successfully underwent surgery in London and is expected to return no sooner than March.
