Tuttosport (via TMW) provides insights into Milan’s strategy, outlining their intentions to lure the former Bayern Munich forward away from Bologna, who, in turn, are reluctant to part with their prized asset.
AC Milan are gearing up for an offensive move but faces the challenge of Bayern Munich, who, despite transferring Zirkzee for €8.5 million, retained a buy-back clause valued at €40 million. Apart from the Germans, Bologna value Zirkzee at around €50-60 million, figures that Milan might find challenging to meet. The Rossoneri, however, have a strategic card to play – Alexis Saelemaekers, currently on loan to Bologna. Additionally, Milan are expected to receive €25-30 million from Atalanta for the transfer of De Ketelaere.
