Serie A Giants Ready To Swoop As Vinicius Junior Continues To Stall Over New Real Madrid Deal
Vinicius Junior could be heading to Serie A as his situation with Real Madrid worsens.
AC Milan are considering a shock move for Vinicius Junior as the Brazilian international has stalled talks over a new deal at Real Madrid.
Vinicius Junior Stalls Real Madrid Contract Talks
The 2025/26 season has been a difficult campaign for the Real Madrid star so far, as Vinicius has failed to build a strong relationship with Xabi Alonso.
Starting in 11 of the 14 LaLiga matches would be a respectable tally for most players around Europe, however, this is a considerably low inclusion for a star like Vinicius.
The 25-year-old has failed to score in his last six league appearances and is yet to find the back of the net in the Champions League, highlighting the Brazilian’s issues in Madrid.
Although Vinicius is still under contract until June 2027, Los Blancos are not looking to have one of their star players enter the final year of his deal next season.
Florentine Perez is keen on renewing the superstar’s deal in Madrid, but Vinicius is reportedly unwilling to sign a new contract while his issues with Xabi Alonso continue.
Vinicius joins the list of elite players that have been linked with moves away, as Lautaro Martinez’s Inter Milan future has also been put into doubt after a dispute with Cristian Chivu.
The Inter Milan star’s situation is different to Vincius, as Martinez is under contract until June 2029 – meaning Madrid are at a bigger risk of losing their talisman for free.
Another issue that has been ever-present during negotiations is the Brazilian’s salary demands, as Vinicius is reportedly looking to raise his €18million per year to €30m.
The uncertainty around his future in Madrid has put some of Europe’s elite sides on notice and AC Milan are one of the teams interested in signing the Brazilian.
🚨 Negotiations over a new contract for Vinícius Júnior at Real Madrid remain stalled.
There is now a scenario where talks do not resume until after the 2026 World Cup.

AC Milan Consider Vinicius Junior Move
The Rossoneri currently sit top of Serie A after making a strong start to the season under Massimiliano Allegri and are on track to win the Scudetto for the first time since 2021/22.
Lifting the Serie A title would put Milan back among the elite sides in Europe after finishing eighth last season and Allegri will be looking to add some more firepower to their roster.
Signing Vinicius would be a difficult deal for Milan financially, but the Rossoneri will be boosted by the revenue made by their potential Serie A clash in Australia.
However, the Rossoneri could use one of their current stars in a player plus cash deal, as Rafael Leao has been linked with a move away from Milan and is one of the star names in Europe.
Currently, Milan’s highest-paid player is Christopher Nkunku and the Frenchman earns around €10m per year – which is far less than Vinicius’ expected salary.
Vinicius’ wage demands could be an issue for the Rossoneri, but Milan could move their funds around to bring in a player of the Brazilian’s quality.
