The FIGC Tribunal’s has come to a decision regarding former Juventus president Andrea Agnelli, ruling to ban him for 16-months. Agnelli was at the helm of the Bianconeri during the alleged ‘salary maneuvers’ which involved playing Juve players under the table. While the club had already reached a settlement with the FIGC, Agnelli had not waived his right to appeal the capital gains strand of the investigation.

The FIGC prosecutor had asked for a 20 month ban for Agnelli, but the National Federal Court opted to hand out an sixteen month ban and a €60,000 fine.

The latest ban is in addition to the 2 years already imposed and confirmed by the Sports Guarantee Board. Agnelli is awaiting the grounds for verdict before considering whether or not to appeal.
