If AI Serie A predictions for 2025-26 are anything to go by, fans could well be treated to another final day title-decider. See how our supercomputer weighs up the state of play in Italy’s top-flight next season, complete with a full league table, as well as top scorer and assist leaderboards.

There are endless narratives feeding into Serie A’s pre-season chatter.

How will the likes of AC Milan, Inter, Atalanta and Roma fare under new leadership? Will Milan’s mass exodus totalling $160 million in player sales cause problems for new manager Max Allegri? Can any of the three promoted teams cement their top-flight status?

Making sense of the constantly evolving storylines for 2025-26 is daunting, so we have enlisted the help of a supercomputer to provide AI Serie A predictions for next season.

The supercomputer utilizes a complex analytical programme, drawing on historical performance data and statistics, as well as the most up-to-date transfer dealings, to form its predictions.

AI Serie A Predictions

Just as we bore witness to last season, AI expects the Serie A title race to go down to the final day.

However, instead of reigning champions Napoli successfully defending their crown, the supercomputer has predicted Cristian Chivu to well and truly usher in a new era at Inter Milan, in his debut season at the helm.

Whilst the AI predictions acknowledge that the partnership of Kevin De Bruyne and Scott McTominay in Napoli’s midfield will prove lethal, it is Inter who edge the Scudetto by a single point.

Offshore sportsbooks appear to be largely in agreement with AI’s predictions, with experts putting Inter just ahead of Napoli in the Scudetto race.

Further down the table, Max Allegri’s arrival at AC Milan proves to be a masterstroke, as Serie A’s serial-winner guides them to a commendable third-placed finish, despite a slew of departures and their lowest finish in the league for a over a decade the season prior.

Despite Como’s meteoric 330% rise in squad value, the supercomputer has predicted Cesc Fabregas’ overachievers to finish in exactly the same spot at last term, which, after investing over $100m, could put the Spaniard under pressure.

Of the three promoted teams, only Alberto Gilardino’s Pisa are predicted to survive. In a surprise pick for the drop, Cagliari are expected to struggle more than most, despite some astute business so far this summer.

AI Serie A Top Scorer Prediction

Key to Inter’s title charge will be Lautaro Martinez’s fruitful form in front of goal, according to the AI supercomputer.

Having only managed 12 goals in 2024-25, Martinez’s uptick in goals, which AI expects to get up to 23, will be crucial to snatching back the Scudetto.

Elsewhere, Moise Kean is expected to remain in Florence, even in the face of heavy interest from potential suitors. His 21-goal tally is just ahead of Milan’s Rafael Leao, and Juventus’ new arrival, Jonathan David.

Noa Lang, who arrives at Napoli from PSV this summer, is expected to finish with a respectable tally of 13 in his maiden year.

AI Serie A Top Assists Prediction

As most human soccer fans will probably agree, AI found it hard to look past Kevin De Bruyne for the most assists in Serie A next season.

He has been handed the iconic number ’10’ shirt, last donned by Diego Maradona and retired by Napoli for 25 years — until now. There is just an air of inevitability about this transfer working out.

Further down the leaderboard, AC Milan duo Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao both have their creative juices flowing in 2025-25, while Inter’s new arrival from Marseille, Luis Henrique, impresses with double-digit assists in his first season.
