FootItalia’s AI supercomputer has predicted what the new San Siro could like after the selected architect firm has decided to prioritize AC Milan and Inter Milan over Manchester United.
On September 30th 2025, the Milan City Council agreed to sell the iconic San Siro stadium to AC Milan and Inter Milan, as the Serie A sides look to build a new home.
Around 70% of the current ground is set to be demolished and the two Milan sides are currently finalizing the financial intricacies
over purchasing the necessary land and must do so before November 10th.
Failing to complete the purchase by the aforementioned deadline would stop any plans of demolishing the San Siro and have huge implications on the plans for a new stadium – but both clubs are said to be confident of completing the purchase in time.
Foster + Partners, the studio selected to create the new ground in Milan, are also working on Manchester United’s stadium renovation and have decided to prioritize the plans in Milan.

What Will The New San Siro Look Like?
According to FootItalia’s AI supercomputer, the new San Siro is predicted to look like one of the finest modern stadiums in world soccer.
The first image shows the populous design. A long-form landscape shot with all the surrounding greenery. If it does look anything close to this, it’ll certainly be a bucket-list venue to visit.
The second shot is a close‑up rendering of the facade with architectural detailing. Visitors have been added to help portray the match-day feeling of being in and around the ground.
For the third and fourth pictures, a range of close-form and long shots of the exterior. The bowl-like structure is familiar and widely used design for modern soccer stadiums.

What Serie A Clubs Own Their Stadium?
Being the sole owner of a stadium in Italy is something that is somewhat of a rarity, as the two Milan sides will join just four Serie A clubs that are in full control of their home grounds.
As it stands, the valuation of the ground and the area around it are valued at €197million. That is according to the latest findings from Italy’s tax agency.
Therefore, the Milan giants would join Juventus (Allianz Stadium), Sassuolo (Mapei Stadium), Atalanta (New Balance Arena) and Udinese (Bluenergy Stadium) in owing their home fully.
Creating a new stadium will allow AC Milan and Inter Milan to close the gap on the best teams in the world, with hopes of becoming the most dominant Italian teams in European competition.

How Much Will The New San Siro Cost To Build?
The project to build the new San Siro stadium would cost approximately €1.2bn. That does include the €197m it would take to initially purchase the current structure and surrounding land.
AC Milan and Inter Milan battled with the City Council for several years over purchasing the San Siro, meaning the two Italian sides are willing to spend huge amounts for the best possible resources.
As we have previously mentioned, Milan have selected Foster + Partners and Manica to design and build the new 71,500 capacity venue.
Interestingly, they worked together to help build Wembley Stadium in London as well as the Lusail Stadium for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
United States international, Christian Pulisic, is yet to commit his future to the Rossoneri, however, the 27-year-old star may be convinced after seeing AC Milan put this much equity into a new stadium and showing a massive sign of intent – which will be the same for the star players at Inter Milan.

When Will Inter Milan and AC Milan’s New Stadium Be Ready?
The initial plans were to have the stadium ready for the 2030/31 season, with hopes of having a season in the new ground before the European Championships head to Italy in 2032.
However, Inter Milan and AC Milan could see their new ground come even earlier, as Foster + Partners are ready to begin after prioritizing the Serie A sides over Manchester United.
The Red Devils announced plans to create a brand-new home stadium in March 2025, as Old Trafford continues to be criticized for its failings and Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to make his stamp on the club.
Aptly named ‘New Trafford’, the stadium will have a capacity of 100,000 and become the largest ground in England – costing the Premier League giants over €2bn.
United were hoping to have the ground ready by 2030, but with Foster + Partners shifting their focus to Italy, the Red Devils may have to wait and the two Milan sides could see their new home arrive before the initial date.
