The Lancers have won three of their five league fixtures and are yet to taste defeat. However, their form in Europe’s elite club competition hasn’t been great in recent seasons.

After reaching the semi-final in 2019, Ajax has only qualified to the knockout stages once in four attempts. Nonetheless, Wednesday’s clash brings about a repeat of the 1972 finale. A game in which the Dutch outfit won 2-0 thanks to a Johan Cruyff brace.
