Juventus coach Max Allegri believes Daniele De Rossi has bought enthusiasm to Roma, ahead of their match at the Olimpico on Sunday. The Bianconeri head to the capital, knowing that a win will guarantee them a place in next seasons Champions League, while Roma are close to consolidating fifth place. Speaking ahead of the match, Allegri explained what he expects from the game. revealing that Kenan Yildiz will miss the encounter:

“Let’s see if we can return to victory, especially away from home,” Allegri began. “Despite Thursday’s defeat, Roma is performing exceptionally well: it will be a fascinating game. The absolute value of players like Paredes and Dybala cannot be questioned: we’ll need to be cautious on set pieces. We collected several points in the first half of the season, but our performance dipped in the second half. However, we are close to our main objective: until mathematics guarantee our Champions League spot, we must remain vigilant. Our fate is now in our hands.”

Regarding unavailable players, Allegri mentioned, “Alex Sandro, who has not yet recovered, and Yildiz due to gastroenteritis, will not travel to Rome.”

Moving on, Allegri focused on the performances of Weah and McKennie: “Recently, Weah has been in good form and could start. Weston has had an excellent season, and at this moment, we need everyone. Even those who play 10/15 minutes can be decisive. [Nicolò] Cambiaso can further improve. Vlahovic? I’ve spoken with him, like with everyone else: he trained well this week.”

On De Rossi’s impact, Allegri commented, “Since being at Roma, Daniele has brought enthusiasm and carefreeness, despite Mourinho’s excellent work. He can have a great career; he’s still young. We’ll face a Roma side angered by Thursday’s defeat; we’ll have to play a good game.”

Reflecting on his time with Juventus, Allegri said, “For over ten years, I had the opportunity to be part of this great family, with a great DNA that can be molded but not completely changed.”

Allegri then discussed the season and what was lacking: “Carefreeness? Football is meant to be played; there are moments that must be interpreted. At this moment, we shouldn’t dwell on the past but focus on what lies ahead: tomorrow, we have a beautiful game to play in a wonderful stadium.”

Finally, Allegri paid homage to the Great Torino: “A team that made history, a memorable day that must be remembered.”
