Lazio are making a concerted effort to secure the services of Vitor Roque from Barcelona, with the young Brazilian forward giving priority to the Italian club. However, the deal is proving to be complex and challenging.

Negotiations Underway

According to reports from LaLazioSiamoNoi, Lazio have expressed strong interest in Vitor Roque, who does not appear to be in the plans of Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick. This situation has made Roque’s departure from the Catalan club increasingly likely. Lazio has already made an initial offer of €20 million for 50% of Roque’s rights, but this proposal was swiftly rejected by Barcelona. The Spanish club is keen to avoid a financial loss, having invested over €30 million in Roque just six months ago. Consequently, Barcelona is demanding at least €40 million for a permanent transfer, a figure that is currently out of reach for Lazio.

Roque’s Preference for Lazio

Despite the financial hurdles, Vitor Roque has indicated his preference for joining Lazio. This preference could potentially simplify negotiations, as Lazio is determined to continue discussions with Barcelona to find a mutually agreeable solution. The club’s management is optimistic, given Roque’s willingness to prioritize a move to Rome.

Competition and Alternatives

Barcelona, on the other hand, is not inclined to sell Roque outright unless their financial demands are met. They are more open to a loan deal, which has attracted interest from several other clubs, including Betis, Valencia, and Porto. These clubs have also inquired about Roque’s availability, adding to the competitive landscape.
