The Inter midfielder was vital to the victory, scoring a stunning winner to secure Luciano Spalletti’s side a vital three points. Speaking post-match, Barella analysed his own performance, having only recently returned to the team after an injury setback:
“Towards the end, I was a bit tired, probably because the days when I was sidelined didn’t help, but I always felt important thanks to the words of my teammates,” Barella said.
The Inter Milan midfielder emphasized his dedication to the Azzurri, stating, “I will always give my blood for this shirt. We deserved to score more goals, but unfortunately, that’s how football is. When you leave the game open with a one-goal lead, anything can happen, but we deserved the win.”
Barella expressed his readiness for the upcoming challenge against Spain, saying, “I’m available for the Spain game. They waited for me, and I want to repay their trust in me.”
