Baroni on Lazio’s win over Lecce: “We did a good job of believing until the very end”

Following the match, Lazio’s manager Marco Baroni shared his thoughts on the team’s performance:

“This was a complicated and difficult match, but we knew it would be. We tried to inject as much quality as possible into our play. In the second half, we made 17 crosses, indicating that we needed a bit more quality. However, this team has achieved 10 victories in 58 days, so we’re staying focused on our objectives.”

Baroni acknowledged that the team’s performance was less sharp than usual, attributing this to their packed schedule:

“The team is a bit less brilliant at the moment. We’ll train on the 24th and 26th, as we need to recover our energy. We’ve had many matches, which leads us to play a bit ‘dirtier’. In the second half, I tried to change our wide options.”

When asked about his plans for the Christmas break, Baroni emphasized the importance of rest:

“For Christmas? I’ll be with my family, and I’ll disconnect as well. Right now, we’re a group that works well together and enjoys each other’s company.”

The manager concluded by highlighting the challenges of their busy schedule:

“But there are many commitments and just as many travels. We need to stay focused.”
