Battle of Malta Online Crowns Early Champions in CoinPoker’s $30 Million Festival

CoinPoker’s Battle of Malta Online series has started and has already awarded prizes for some major events. Following a successful opening weekend led by the $1,000,000 guaranteed CoinMillion, the festival continues with flagship tournaments, physical trophies, and 100 Battle of Malta Autumn Edition live packages still up for grabs.

CoinMillion Headlines the Opening Week

The opening week of Battle of Malta Online has concluded, with the $215 CoinMillion awarding the largest prize pool of the series so far.

After battling through the field for the tournament’s $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, “monc” emerged victorious to claim the title and a first-place prize of $121,500.

monc will receive a real Battle of Malta Online trophy, plus a matching digital version to showcase inside their CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet.

Other players in the top 5 secured large payouts from CoinMillion:

A deal was requested in the final moments of the tournament, but it was rejected. A short while later, the player who requested the deal, JohnnieTsunami, was unfortunately knocked out of the tournament.

After appearing in World Poker Masters, and now again in Battle of Malta Online, a spokesperson for CoinPoker hinted that “CoinMillion has a high chance of becoming a regular tournament on the CoinPoker schedule.” 

The opening week also saw “shipitplz” capture the $55 Mini CoinMillion for $20,000.

Meanwhile, players are using the satellite pathways to enter other highlight events that take place later in the Battle of Malta Online schedule, such as the Main Events.

Battle of Malta Crowns New Champions

CoinMillion may have provided the biggest headline, but it has been far from the only success story during the opening days of the festival.

Early series champions include:

• “Vorr”, who claimed the Battle of Malta $150 CoinMasters BITCOIN title for $39,764.14
• “BAAAAMBINOOOO”, who captured the $320 Dark Knight PKO for $18,341.63

Several Highlight Events Coming Until August 3rd

While several champions have already been crowned, many of the festival’s biggest tournaments are still ahead.

Live Packages to Battle of Malta Autumn Edition

Players are already winning packages for the live Battle of Malta Autumn Edition, using the Champions Trials leaderboard promotion. Through entering tournaments each week, players can win a ticket to the Champions Trials multi-stage tournaments.

The live Battle of Malta Series will run from October 27th to November 4th, and features a $2,000,000 guarantee.

Battle of Malta Main Event

The flagship $565 Main Event guarantees $2,500,000, with Day 1 flights continuing throughout the festival before players return for Day 2 on August 3rd.

This event will award the winner a unique physical trophy that stands out from other Battle of Malta Online trophies. 

Day 1 flights run at 17:30 UTC throughout the week, and satellites are available for $55.

Battle of Malta Main Challenger and Main Crusader

Players looking for exceptional value can still compete in the $55 Main Challenger, which boasts a $500,000 guarantee, making it one of the strongest guarantee-to-buy-in ratios of the entire series.

The $11 Main Crusader also runs alongside the Challenger, bringing a more affordable event with a $100,000 guarantee. 

Day 1 flights for the Main Challenger and Main Crusader run every day at 17:30 UTC. Players take their best stacks to Day 2 to compete for the prize pool.

CoinMasters BTC High Roller

High-stakes players have the $1,500 CoinMasters BTC High Roller to look forward to, featuring a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool as part of CoinPoker’s popular CoinMasters schedule.

Along with a gold-plated CoinMasters coin that all BITCOIN tournaments award, the winner will collect a special physical trophy. Both awards will be delivered to the winner’s home.

Day 1A and 1B have finished, but Day 1C and 1D are still upcoming. 

The Iron Throne

The $5,200 Iron Throne returns with a $400,000 guarantee, giving high rollers another opportunity to compete for one of Battle of Malta Online’s most prestigious titles.

This two-day event has the first day on July 26th at 18:05 UTC, then the second day on the 27th at the same start time.

As one of the Battle of Malta Online’s high-roller tournaments, this event awards a real trophy plus a digital version.

Regs of the Round Table

One of the most anticipated events remaining on the schedule is the $530 Regs of the Round Table, featuring a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. The tournament is expected to attract a number of well-known poker personalities, likely including Bencb, Kelvin Kerber, Jeremey Ausmus, Patrick Leonard, or other CoinPoker friends and ambassadors.

Regs of the Round Table also has a medium $75,000 GTD version and a low $20,000 GTD version of the event. Each one awards trophies.
