There’s bad news for Bologna as Joshua Zirkzee is expected to be sidelined through injury for at least four weeks. The Dutch forward was forced off on the 79th minute during the Rossoblu’s 1-0 defeat to Inter at the weekend, and tests have now confirmed his injury status.
A statement from Bologna read: “The exams undergone by Joshua Zirkzee this morning showed a first-degree injury to the left hamstring, with expected recovery times of 3-4 weeks.”
Zirkzee is Bologna’s leading goal scorer this season, having fond the net 10 times across all competitions as they bid to make it into the top four and qualify for Champions League football.
