Bologna’s management have set its sights on two high-profile players: Joshua Zirkzee and Federico Chiesa. According to recent reports from Corriere dello Sport, the club has already made an initial approach and may attempt another in the coming weeks.

The Emilian club would gladly welcome back their former player Zirkzee for a six-month loan spell. However, the Dutch striker seems reluctant to leave the Premier League, and Manchester United is only willing to consider a permanent transfer – a condition that is currently beyond Bologna’s financial reach.

Federico Chiesa has also caught Bologna’s attention. While Liverpool is unlikely to agree to a straight loan deal, the Italian club would not hesitate if the English side were to contribute to the player’s wages.

These ambitious moves demonstrate Bologna’s intent to strengthen their squad significantly. However, the financial and logistical challenges involved in securing such high-profile players on loan deals make these transfers complex and uncertain.
