Sky Sport Italia report that yesterday, Cagliari held discussions with Francesco Calzona, the current head coach of the Slovak national team and former assistant at Napoli. Club president Tommaso Giulini is well-acquainted with Calzona, who previously served as an assistant coach under Eusebio Di Francesco at Cagliari.
However, Calzona has expressed a desire not to commit to any new positions until after the conclusion of the European Championships with Slovakia.
