Cesc Fabregas Tells Como Residents ‘You Are Not Alone’ After Devastating Floods

After the Como floods devastated the local community, Cesc Fabregas has posted a heartfelt message to the residents of Lombardy. 

Homes and businesses have been impacted after the torrential downpours across northern Italy. Lake Como was badly impacted after the intense rainfall on September 21.

Fabregas – who has been Como’s head coach since 2024 – has reached out via social media to reassure those affected that they are not alone.

What Cesc Fabregas Said After Como Floods

After heaping praise on Como midfielder Nico Paz after he starred in the win against Fiorentina, Cesc Fabregas has now turned his attention towards the people and families of the famous and iconic city.

Fabregas reached out to the locals and shared his solidarity after the devastating floods. The Spaniard posted on Instagram explaining how the city will shine once again.

“My thoughts are with everyone in Como today. Seeing our beautiful lake flood and the damage it has brought is heartbreaking.

“Como is more than just a city to me, it is home, it is family, it is community. To all the people, families, and businesses affected, please know you are not alone.

“We are with you, and I believe in the strength and unity of this city. Together, we will get through this and see Como shine again.”

Coppa Italia Proceeds Will Go Back Into The Community

“The club will donate all the proceeds from the Italian Cup match against Sassuolo, scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, to support the local community during this difficult time,” Fabregas said.

Naturally, the gesture will be very well received by those who have been affected by the floods. Clubs from across Italy, Europe and the rest of the world are also in support of Como’s help.
