Daichi Kamada has reportedly decided against renewing his contract with Lazio and is now set to leave on a free transfer, with a potential move to Crystal Palace on the horizon. The 27-year-old Japanese midfielder joined Lazio last summer on a free transfer after a failed move to Milan. He signed a one-year contract with an option for an additional three years, with a decision deadline of May 30th.

Kamada appeared poised to extend his stay with the Biancocelesti, having thrived under coach Igor Tudor in recent months. His representatives even traveled to Rome recently to negotiate with Lazio president Claudio Lotito.

However, according to Calciomercato.com, Kamada has ultimately chosen not to renew his contract, making him a free agent this summer.

Crystal Palace, led by his former Eintracht Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner, has shown significant interest in acquiring Kamada. The Premier League club is reportedly preparing a contract offer worth around €5 million net per season.
