Juventus captain Danilo says it’s ‘impossible’ to leave the Bianconeri, even more so since the arrival of Thiago Motta. The 32-year-old talked about the Old Lady and his future to Brazilian media directly from the Brazil national team camp, where he is preparing for the upcoming Copa America alongside his teammates:
“I can say that leaving Juventus is impossible. I am completely focused on the Old Lady’s project, led by the new coach Thiago Motta, who has just joined the Bianconeri.”
“Motta? We are talking about a coach who has a very modern idea of football. With Thiago Motta on the bench, I can play either as a right-back, just like with Brazil, or as one of the two central defenders, and in case of extreme necessity, even on the left flank. A versatile utility player.”
Danilo has a contract with Juventus until June 30, 2025, which also includes an option to extend until 2026. The clause will be triggered if the Brazilian plays at least 50% of the matches in the upcoming season.
