Davide Frattesi Seeking To Leave Inter If Simone Inzaghi Stays After Munich Bust-Up

Start

The latest Davide Frattesi transfer news has suggested the Inter star could leave the San Siro this summer.

Frattesi was part of the Nerazzurri roster who endured a humbling 5-0 defeat to PSG in the Champions League final on Saturday. However, he was afforded no time on the field at the Allianz Arena.

The Azzurri star’s future has now come into question. He is reportedly unhappy with his playing time at the club and his exclusion in the final was deemed to be the last straw.

Davide Frattesi Transfer News

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta.it, Davide Frattesi was furious that head coach Simone Inzaghi failed to utilise him against PSG.

Frattesi has been dissatisfied owing to his lack of playing time over the last few months with the Nerazzurri. He reportedly approached Inzaghi in the dugout and demanded to know why he didn’t feature against the Parisians.

Instead, Nicola Zalewski and Kristjan Asllani were introduced during the game. That in itself suggests Frattesi’s days may be numbered.

However, if Inzaghi was to swap the San Siro for Saudi Arabia, Frattesi would likely wait until a new head coach is employed before deciding his next move.

Will Davide Frattesi Leave Inter?

A lot will hinge on whether the head coach leaves the San Siro. Last week, the Inter president outlined an ambitious summer project to convince Simone Inzaghi to stay at the club.

There were an abundance of potential suitors to come into the club but Davide Frattesi’s name was not mentioned as somebody who could make way.

Nonetheless, the pendulum appears to have swung against Frattesi’s favor and an exit is a likely outcome. That despite the 25-year-old midfielder scoring decisive goals against Bayern and Barcelona in the Champions League in 2024-25.

If Inzaghi remains in the Nerazzurri dugout next season, expect to see Frattesi leave. If the lures of Saudi Arabia prove too tempting for the current head coach, Frattesi will probably stay put.

Davide Frattesi Transfer Value

According to Transfermarkt, Davide Frattesi’s transfer value currently stands at €32million. The 25-year-old moved to Inter on loan for a fee of €6m in 2023 from Sassuolo.

That deal included an obligation to buy whereby the Nerazzurri paid a further €27m. It’s likely that the Champions League finalists will want to make a profit on the Azzurri international.

La Gazzetta dello Sport is claiming that a bid in the region of €40m will be enough to tempt Inter into negotiations this summer.

Who Could Sign Davide Frattesi?

Those who regularly track the best offshore sportsbooks will have seen the price for Davide Frattesi to leave Inter drop dramatically.

Frattesi will not be short of suitors if his time at the San Siro does conclude during the summer transfer window. Serie A champions Napoli have previously been linked with him.

So too have Europa League winners Tottenham as well as LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid. The trio could all reignite their interest in the coming weeks.

Furthermore, a number of Europe’s top clubs will also likely throw their hat into the mix. Frattessi is a fully fledged Italian international who at 25-year-old, is coming into his prime.
