Chelsea are set to sign Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy. The Swiss international has featured sparingly in the early part of the Bianconeri’s new campaign, and was reportedly put on the market earlier this summer.
Goal Italia, Sky Sport and a number of others report that Zakaria to Chelsea is a done deal with the player undertaking his medical in Turin ahead of the close of the transfer window in England later today.
Gianluca di Marzio writes that the loan deal is complete and includes an option for Chelsea to sign the player outright for €34.8m next summer.
Zakaria is expected to fly to London later tonight after the move is officially confirmed by Juventus and Chelsea.
