His decision to remain in Serie A has already paid dividends, as he scored in Argentina’s 3-0 victory over Chile in a World Cup qualifier, wearing the iconic number 10 shirt in Lionel Messi’s absence.
Speaking to TycSports (via TMW) after the match, Dybala expressed his happiness and motivation behind his choice: “One of the reasons I didn’t leave was because I wanted to continue wearing the Argentina shirt. I feel young, I feel physically good, and I want to keep fighting both for Roma and for the national team.”
The 29-year-old forward acknowledged the fierce competition for places in the star-studded Argentina squad but remained determined to make his mark. “We know it’s not easy because the competition is very high, and there are many players with the desire to win.
