Claudio Ranieri is focused on revitalizing Roma’s performance in the Europa League, as the team currently find itself in the lower half of the standings. In anticipation of the upcoming match against Braga, Ranieri is likely to implement several changes to the lineup that faced Lecce.

Key players such as Paulo Dybala, who has struggled with injuries, and veteran defender Mats Hummels may be rested to ensure their fitness for crucial fixtures. This opens the door for substitutes like Nicola Zalewski, Mario Hermoso, and captain Lorenzo Pellegrini to step into starting roles. The only player confirmed to be unavailable due to injury is Bryan Cristante, while there are uncertainties surrounding Artem Dovbyk’s participation after he missed last week’s match. If Dovbyk is not fit to play, Ranieri might opt for a false nine formation or utilize Eldor Shomurodov as a backup striker.

On the other side of the pitch, Braga’s coach Carlos Carvalhal has yet to establish a consistent starting eleven this season, making his selections unpredictable. Typically, Joao Moutinho, captain Ricardo Horta, and Bruma support Amine El Ouazzani in attack. Bruma has been particularly effective lately, contributing to eight goals in his last 11 European outings this season.

Braga’s injury concerns include Paulo Oliveira with a calf issue and Uruguay’s Rodrigo Zalazar dealing with muscular problems as they prepare for their trip to Rome.

Roma (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Mancini, Hermoso, Ndicka; Abdulhmaid, Kone, Paredes, Zalewski; Pellegrini, Pisilli; Shomurodov

Braga (3-4-2-1): Matheus; Ferreira, Niakate, Arrey-Mbi; Fernandes, Carvalho, Moutinho, Gomez; Horta, Bruma; Ouazzani
