The latest Fabio Silva transfer news has indicated that Roma looks set to miss out on the Portuguese forward this summer.

Silva is still contracted to Premier League side Wolves but is surplus to requirements at Molineux. The 23-year-old spent the last season on loan at Las Palmas in LaLiga.

Prior to that, Silva also had temporary spells at Rangers, Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven. He has scored a total of 40 career goals in 198 appearances.

Fabio Silva Transfer News

According to the most recent Fabio Silva transfer news, RB Leipzig is pushing hard to sign the Portugal international. However, Borussia Dortmund are currently leading the race.

Leipzig is resigned to losing Benjamin Sesko and wants Silva to fill the void. Dortmund have reportedly agreed to a five-year contract and will pay approximately €20million to Wolves.

However, Roma is Silva’s preferred destination. He prefers the Giallorossi project but the Serie A side is offering less in terms of salary and transfer fee.

Who Will Fabio Silva Join?

According to offshore sportsbooks, Fabio Silva is favored to join the Bundesliga as opposed to Serie A. Although the player would reportedly prefer a move to Rome, Gian Piero Gasperini may have missed out on his man.

Silva also very much likes the idea of a move to Borussia Dortmund. The German giants are closing in on securing Silva’s signature with an announcement set to be made very soon.

Admittedly, the transfer saga could still entertain more twists and turns. However, Dortmund looks set to win the race ahead of RB Leipzig and Gasperini.

Roma Transfer Targets

If Fabio Silva doesn’t get his wish to join Roma and opts for Borussia Dortmund instead, attacking reinforcements remain a priority for Gian Piero Gasperini.

Artem Dovbyk is likely to be sold which will help free up vital funds. They can be used to acquire transfer targets such as Dorgeles Nene, Eguinaldo or Santiago Pierotti.

The latter currently represents Serie A side Lecce and has also featured for Argentina’s Under 23 side. Despite not putting up the best numbers for goals and assists, the winger has impressed for the Wolves.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Tyrique George is another option for the Giallorossi to consider. The 19-year-old is reportedly unhappy at Stamford Bridge and wants to leave.

Other players on the radar at the Stadio Olimpico include Federico Chiesa, Nikola Krstovic and Man United forward Rasmus Hojlund.
