The latest Federico Chiesa transfer news has revealed that AC Milan and Napoli are leading the race to sign the Azzurri international.
Chiesa has struggled since moving to Liverpool in the 2024 summer transfer window. The 27-year-old has made just five league appearances in England this season and has failed to find the back of the net in the Premier League.
He did manage to score in the EFL Cup final vs Newcastle in March and also netted in the FA Cup against Accrington Stanley.
However, Chiesa was injured for the majority of the first half of the campaign. Even when he did return to fitness, he found his chances at Anfield very limited.
Manager Arne Slot preferred the likes of Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota in attacking roles. And it was seemingly impossible for Chiesa to dislodge Mo Salah from right wing.
In the Champions League, Chiesa completed a full 90 minutes on just one occasion. That came in the last league game against PSV where the Reds had already secured safe passage to the L16.

Federico Chiesa Transfer News
After struggling on Merseyside this year, Federico Chiesa is likely to explore his options ahead of the 2025-26 soccer season.
According to Calciomercato.com, AC Milan and Napoli are both keen to lure him back to Serie A. Chiesa is understood to be open to a move back to Italy.
During the early stages of his career, Chiesa rose to prominence at Fiorentina. In 153 appearances for the Viola, the Euro 2020 winner scored 34 goals and provided 26 assists.
After six years in Florence, Chiesa moved to Juventus on an initial two-year loan with an obligation to buy. The Old Lady signed the Azzurri star on a permanent deal in 2022 which saw the right winger win the Coppa Italia (2) and Supercoppa Italiana.
Now, despite Chiesa pledging his future to Liverpool back in January, the Rossoneri and the Ciucciarelli are both leading the chase to sign him.
Both clubs would be able to guarantee him first team football and both regularly challenge for trophies. Financially, Chiesa would be affordable for the duo as Liverpool only paid €12million ($13.6million) for him.
Arne Slot’s side would likely enter into negotiations for a similar fee if Chiesa does decide to move on from Anfield this summer.
