Will Fikayo Tomori Miss AC Milan’s Clash With Juventus After Suffering Adductor Problem In Napoli Win?

The latest Fikayo Tomori injury update has revealed that the AC Milan defender is a doubt for the MD6 clash against Juventus. 

Tomori has been one of the Rossoneri’s standout performers so far this season. He has helped Max Allegri’s side to the Serie A summit and has kept five clean sheets from seven games across all competitions.

After transferring to the San Siro on a permanent deal in 2021, Tomori has become a key member of the squad and also helped the Diavolo to the Scudetto in his maiden season.

Having performed above expectations in recent weeks, a new Fikayo Tomori AC Milan contract is reportedly on the table. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano says talks with Tomori’s entourage has already began.

However, the Englishman has suffered an injury blow and is now a doubt for the away clash against Juventus on October 5.

Tomori was replaced in the 80th minute against Napoli on MD5 by Koni De Winter. As he left the field, Tomori looked to be in some discomfort.

According to MilanNews, the 27-year-old endured an adductor strain and will be assessed thoroughly ahead of the vital trip to the Allianz Stadium.

Who Could Replace Fikayo Tomori Against Juventus?

Koni De Winter is the likely option to replace Fikayo Tomori against Juventus if required. The summer signing from Genoa has only completed a full 90 minutes on one occasion so far in 2025-26.

The Belgian center-back has made three Serie A appearances for AC Milan totaling 77 minutes. However, the highly-rated 23-year-old has proven his credentials in Italy’s elite soccer division.

De Winter was one of the Rossoblu’s standout stars under the guidance of Patrick Vieira last term. Furthermore, he knows Juve very well.

He was actually on the Bianconeri’s books between 2021 and 2024 but most of that time was spent out on loan. He made just two appearances for the Old Lady. Both in European competition.

If selected on October 5, De Winter would likely line-up alongside Matteo Gabbia and Strahinja Pavlovic in a three-man defence.

Fikayo Tomori On Max Allegri

Although he may not feature against Juventus, Fikayo Tomori has heaped praise on Max Allegri’s impact this season. The former said the Rossoneri head coach strongly insisted that keeping clean sheets was one of the vital keys to success.

“The coach has been here, he’s worked with many strong players and knows what a team needs to win. When Allegri arrived here, he told us straight away that we shouldn’t concede as many goals as last year,” Tomori told reporters after the Napoli win.

“We worked hard, we followed the coach, not staying compact, not leaving gaps, not going around the pitch stealing the ball. Sometimes you need to stay calm, you need patience, because when we have the ball, we have the quality to cause damage.”
