Fiorentina director Joe Barrone has confirmed that winger Jonathan Ikoné will not be leaving the club in January to join Roma. The French winger has been the subject of interest from the Giallorossi, but speaking at the ‘Buongiorno Viola Park’ event, Barrone confirmed that there is no intention to part with Ikoné any time soon:
“I want to clarify one detail. I want to clarify one thing: Ikoné has never been on the market and so it’s not correct to say he’s been taken off the market. He’s not going to Roma.
“Then it’s possible that someone has asked for him but it’s not our problem, the club has never put him on the market and has never sat down at the table with anyone to negotiate him.”
