Former Juventus chief scout Matteo Tognozzi revealed that both Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland were very close to joining the club. Speaking with Tuttosport, he revealed:
“In 2019, Jude was really one step away from joining Juve, then he decided to stay in Birmingham again. And before him, there was Haaland: the club deemed the operation too expensive for the Juve Primavera.
“Kenan Yildiz was signed for free and kept hidden because Bayern Munich were in Turin to sign Matthijs De Ligt.
“In those days it was said that Yildiz was about to sign for Barcelona and we let this be believed because we were afraid that it could have an impact on the €80 million we were collecting for De Ligt.
