Sky Sports now report that Zapata is high on Fulham’s list of striker options to take over from Mitro, as they look to complete the move before deadline day next week.
Atalanta had signed Malian striker El Bilal Toure to lead their line this season, but the 21-year-old has been ruled out for several months with a serious muscle injury.
