Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini admitted that injuries could force him to play with a back four against Milan. La Dea are without a win in their last four matches across all competitions, and are without Berat Djimsiti, El Bilal Toure, Jose Palomino, Rafael Toloi, Davide Zappacosta and Gianluca Scamacca. Speaking ahead of the visit of Milan, Gasperini looked back at the 3-0 loss to Torino and offered an indication of how he might lineup against the Rossoneri:
“Torino? In my opinion there was a bit of tiredness on Monday, this team has always performed. They all have to give a bit more. Milan? They too have had several players out and they are recovering now. We’re playing an important match at home, we have to hold on to the home factor”.
“Injuries? We were struggling because we had four out of five absentees in the same department. Four-man defence? It can be an option. The first thing we have to understand is whether Djimsiti will play”.
“De Ketelaere? Charles played a decent game against Torino: he’s responding well.”
