La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Napoli defender Juan Jesus may consider legal action following Francesco Acerbi’s acquittal. Juan Jesus alleged that the Inter defender racially abused him when the two sides met, just before the international break. Italy’s sporting justice has ruled that Acerbi was not guilty of any offence, sparking an angry response from Napoli.

La Gazzetta dello Sport now report that Juan Jesus was ‘crestfallen yet resolute’ following the verdict and was ‘consoled by teammates but firmly committed to not capitulating’.

The newspaper writes that ‘he refuses to be branded a liar and is reportedly contemplating the possibility of filing a legal complaint against Acerbi—an option he’s deliberating with his inner circle and agent Roberto Calenda.’
