The 36-time Serie A champions got off to an electric star in their opening game of the season, as Jonathan David and Dusan Vlahovic secured a 2-0 win over Parma in Turin.

Igor Tudor was handed the permanent job after a successful period towards the end of last season, replacing Thiago Motta and securing a place in the Champions League.

The summer transfer window has been a steady period for Juve, bringing in multiple players on permanent deals after successful loan spells last year.

Joao Mario and Jonathan David are the only fresh additions to the roster, with the Canadian expected to lead the line once again after getting off the mark on MD1.

Tudor is still looking to bring in some more names before the deadline, as Juventus are continuing their pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani who is keen on a return to Turin.

As for their upcoming opponents, it has been an interesting start to the season for Genoa, beating L.R. Vicenza 3-0 in the Coppa Italia and being held to a 0-0 stalemate against Lecce in their Serie A opener.

Patrick Vieira’s side took some major hits this summer, losing Koni De Winter to AC Milan, Honest Ahanor to Atalanta and Albert Gudmundsson to Fiorentina.

So far, Genoa have spent nothing on transfer fees, bringing in Nicolae Stanciu on a free deal and Valentin Carboni, Albert Grønbak, Leo Ostigard and Lorenzo Colombo all joined on loan.

Beating Juventus would be a huge sign of intent from Genoa, especially given their recent record against the Old Lady – failing to score in their last three meetings with Juve.
