Roma midfielder Gini Wijnaldum may not return to action for a while yet as he continues to recover from a leg fracture sustained last year. The Dutchman made the move to Rome in June 2022 and suffered a serious injury just days after his club debut, sidelining him for almost five months.
Wijnaldum recently returned to action for some of Roma’s most recent group training sessions, but isn’t ready to feature yet and is some way from being reintegrated back into the team.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the club’s medical staff are considering his return for around a months time, when the Giallorossi face Hellas Verona at the Stadio Olimpico on February 19th.
