Inter And Juventus Join The Race For €58m-Rated England Under 21 Star

Start

According to the latest Harvey Elliott transfer news, Inter and Juventus have joined the race for the England Under 21 star.

Elliott is fresh off the back of leading the Young Lions to back-to-back European Championship successes. The Liverpool man was also named Player of the Tournament after scoring five goals in six appearances.

His heroic performances in Slovakia have seen a number of clubs declare their interest in the attacking midfielder. Despite his starring role this summer, Elliott looks to be on his way out of Anfield.

The 22-year-old only started two Premier League games for Liverpool last season. Arne Slot’s side has recently broken their transfer record for Florian Wirtz. Pushing Elliott further down the pecking order on Merseyside.

Harvey Elliott Transfer News

With Simone Inzaghi eyeing a reunion with Hakan Calhanoglu in Saudi Arabia, Inter will be keen to add a replacement in the middle of the park.

Granted, the Turkish international operates as a defensive midfielder but the chance to lure Elliott is an opportunity that can’t be ignored.

The Nerazzurri have already signed Croatian star Petar Sucic as well as Luis Henrique and Nicola Zalewski this summer. However, FootItalia sources have said that new head coach wants Elliott to complement Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez.

Meanwhile, Juventus are also looking to increase their attacking options for 2025-26. Igor Tudor has already drafted in Nico Gonzalez on the wing but similar to Inter, they want Elliott to strengthen the middle of the pitch.

Tudor is a keen admirer of Elliott and wants him to be the vocal point of his roster going into the new season. The Croatian has been tasked with steering Juve to Serie A and Champions League glory and believes Elliott could help achieve that dream.

With interest in Elliott at an all-time high, both Italian soccer giants will need to move quickly. The likes of Brighton, Newcastle, West Ham and a plethora of European clubs are all vying for his signature.

What Is Harvey Elliott’s Price Tag?

Current employers Liverpool have confirmed that Harvey Elliott can leave Liverpool for €58 million this summer. However, he can be purchased for €46m with a buy-back option included.

Both Inter and Juventus are more than financially able to afford such a fee. Especially after their participation in the Club World Cup which has brought in much-needed funds.

The Serie A giants are once again in the 2025-26 Champions League and are expected to raise more cash with player sales. Especially Juventus who are expected to wave goodbye to top-earner Dusan Vlahovic.

Elliott’s price tag may be too steep for other admirers. He’s potential suitors in England may try to negotiate a loan deal but the Reds want to move him on permanently.

As it stands, Newcastle are the biggest threat to Inter and Juve. The Magpies will also play in the UCL next season and have satisfied FFP restraints that had previously hindered their movements in the transfer market.

English Players Who Have Succeeded Abroad

If Harvey Elliott does move to Italy, he’ll join a star-studded list of English soccer heroes to have succeeded abroad. In Serie A alone, the likes of Tammy Abraham, Chris Smalling and Fikayo Tomori have all had a positive impact.

So to did David Beckham to a small extent at Milan. Across the continent, Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho have been huge hits at Dortmund and Real Madrid.

At Bayern Munich, Owen Hargreaves won multiple Bundesliga’s as well as the Champions League. Harry Kane also won the first major career of his trophy at the Allianz Arena last season.

Looking further back, Liverpool legend Kevin Keegan starred at Hamburg. Gary Lineker shone at Barcelona and Chris Waddle was a hit at Marseille.

With the above in mind, Elliott certainly has big shoes to fill. Even the best offshore sportsbooks are favoring the 22-year-old to move abroad with his price on a switch to Serie A shortening dramatically.
