Moise Kean continues to be linked with a move away from Fiorentina this summer, and the club are putting plans in place to replace him. Richarlison transfer news this week has seen Tottenham place him in the shop window, and Fiorentina could turn their attention to the Brazilian.
Is Moise Kean Leaving Fiorentina?
One of Serie A’s most talked about transfer sagas of the summer concerns Moise Kean, who remains an attractive option for clubs in the market for a striker.
Manchester United are chief among them, and the need for a striker may become more apparent if Rasmus Hoijlund — who is linked with a move to both Inter Milan and Juventus — does indeed depart.
Arsenal have also been linked with Moise Kean, although their priority target is now known to be RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.
By all accounts, Kean is eager to begin a new challenge away from Serie A, although his wage demands have so far proved to be a sticking point for interested clubs.
The Italian international is reportedly demanding at least $350,000 per-week, which would instantly make him one of United’s highest paid players, should that transfer come to fruit.
Kean’s release clause, which is currently set at $60 million, can be activated in a two-week window starting on July 1, and ending on July 15. The release clause must be paid in full, however, not in instalments.
Richarlison Transfer News
With Fiorentina potentially facing the loss of their prized possession, and fellow forward Lucas Beltran linked with a move to West Ham this week, La Viola could well be forced into the market for a new forward.
They have already exercised the buy option for last season’s Genoa loanee Albert Gudmundsson, but FootItalia understands new manager Stefano Pioli is eager to add more threat up front, should forwards depart.
One market opportunity that Fiorentina, and several other Serie A clubs are looking at is Richarlison, who has been made available by Tottenham.
Spurs are open to offers for the Brazilian, who has managed just 30 goal involvements in 90 appearances since his $68 million move from Everton three years ago.
Tottenham are under no illusions that they will be forced to take a significant loss on that investment, given the 28-year-old’s stock has nosedived drastically, following spotty form across his stint in North London.
In Fiorentina’s eyes, that could represent a unique opportunity to bring in a forward that suits their limited budget.
They will, however, face competition for his signature as Tottenham hope to create a bidding war to drive up the price. Chief among Richarlison’s potential suitors are Galatasaray, who have already opened a dialogue with the player’s representatives.
According to cash out betting sites, the Turkish club are currently best positioned for his signature, but Fiorentina’s pursuit could become more desperate in light of expected departures.
