Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan reportedly has a ‘mega-offer’ from Saudi Arabia but is also in talks over a new contract with the Nerazzurri. The Armenian international signed a two-year deal with the club last summer to join on a free transfer from Roma. A number of impressive displays have sparked contract talks with Inter, with Tuttosport reporting that the club are prepared to offer him a two-year contract extension.
Reports from Italy suggest that it’s a mere formality for the deal to be agreed, however Tuttomercatoweb suggest that a ‘mega-offer’ from Saudi Arabia may be enough to make the midfielder think twice.
According to their report, the 34-year-old has been offered a two-year deal with a salary of €15m a year. Should he decide to take up the offer, Inter are expected to step up their interest in Napoli’s Piotr Zieliński, who is also in the final months of his contract with the Partenopei.
