Inter are reportedly turning their attentions to Porto forward Mehdi Taremi as they continue their hunt for a new striker. The Nerazzurri have seen their bids for Folarin Balogun and Gianluca Scamacca fall short, while talks for Romelu Lukaku were halted after it was revealed his negotiations with Juventus.

Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio confirmed the club were still tracking Balogun, but that he was “not the only” striker they were interested in this summer.

Sky Sport Italia and RMC Sport report that PRemier League side Arsenal have rejected Monaco’s €40 million bid for Balogun, meaning that the Gunners are not budging from their €50 million valuation of the young talent.

As such, Inter are now investigating cheaper alternatives and are eying up a move for Porto’s Taremi, who is into the last 12 months of his contract with the Portuguese giants.

The move could come together for around €30 million, which is more in line with Inter’s budget, however they may face opposition from Tottenham Hotspur, who may yet decide to sell Harry Kane to Bayern Munich before the close of the transfer window.
