Inter are actively seeking to bolster their attacking options, having already secured a deal to acquire Porto forward Mehdi Taremi on a free transfer in June. According to Gazzetta, Inter are not only interested but has initiated discussions to secure the services of the 26-year-old Icelandic forward during the summer transfer window.
Reportedly, Inter aims to structure a deal akin to the one that facilitated the acquisition of Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo last summer, likely favoring a loan arrangement with an obligation to purchase.
Juventus and Tottenham also also keen on the player, while Gazzetta reports that Genoa has set an asking price of at least €30 million for the player.
Gudmundsson has been a standout performer for Genoa this season, emerging as their leading goal scorer with 12 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions.
