Inter Milan are vying for the 21st Scudetto this term and a number of stats have emerged that suggest they will be successful in their quest.

Although Inter aren’t currently at the top of Serie A, Cristian Chivu’s side is just a point off the summit and has been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks.

A minor blip occurred against Napoli on matchday 8 but since mid-September, the Nerazzurri have won six of their last seven in Italy’s elite soccer division.

Inter Milan Serie A Stats So Far From 2025-26

Although Inter’s UCL results have been flawless, their Serie A form and stats have also been hugely impressive. Piotr Zielinski’s scorcher against Verona on matchday 10 helped the Nerazzurri move up to second in the standings.

Albeit, it took an injury-time own goal to clinch a 2-1 victory against the Gialloblu which highlights their never-say-die attitude. Something of which will be paramount as they embark on landing a 21st title.

In terms of stats across the league, Cristian Chivu’s side leads the way when it comes to goals scored, expected goals, total shots, average possession and successful passes.

All of which are vital elements of any club’s ambitions to be crowned champions of their respective league come the end of the season.

  • ⚽ Most goals (24)
  • 📊 Expected goals (19.05)
  • 💥 Total shots (191)
  • 📈 Average possession (60.81%)
  • ✅ Successful passes (4,649)

Why Inter Milan’s Stats Suggest They Will Win Serie A In 2025-26

Ultimately, teams that go on to win a league title will more often than not come out on top for the aforementioned stats. Granted, only a quarter of the season has been played but Inter Milan have been ruthless when and where it matters.

With six wins from their last seven, Inter are definitely getting into their stride. However, the general feeling around the San Siro is that they can offer more.

The Nerazzurri have a richly balanced roster and their Serie A transfers in the summer saw them add sensibly and extremely well to their ranks.

Furthermore, the stats that they are dominating in are only likely to increase. Especially once Marcus Thuram comes back into contention after suffering from a hamstring injury.

Inter’s attacking prowess is clearly the best in Italy so far and although they may only have the ninth tightest defence, the firepower on display will surely fire them to success.

Inter Milan Managers To Win Serie A In Their First Season

It is a hugely rare feat, but Cristian Chivu can become just the second Inter Milan manager to win the Serie A title in his first season in charge at the San Siro.

Many were slightly skeptical about his appointment from Parma in the summer. The Romanian perhaps lacks the experience as his time in management is still in its infancy.

Nonetheless, Chivu famously won the treble with the Nerazzurri in 2010 as a player. The Romanian certainly knows what it takes to win and he can potentially sit alongside Jose Mourinho.

He is the only head coach who has gone on to land the Scudetto in their debut campaign. Mourinho did so in 2008-09 when Chivu played a major role in securing the league crown.

With the above in mind, Chivu must make sure Inter dominates in the league’s stats department and he will surely earn legendary status in Milan should he clinch the title in May.

Serie A Title Race Is Hotting-Up

Inter Milan definitely has the momentum and the vital stats that indicate they will go on to win the 2025-26 Serie A title. However, the Scudetto is being chased by a number of potential suitors.

Just five points separate Napoli at the top (22) and Cesc Fabregas’ Como (17) in seventh. Inter has lost to Juventus and Gli Azzurri this term but their ability not to draw games has proven mightily useful.

Rivals AC Milan, Roma and the Partenopei will do their utmost to ensure the Nerazzurri doesn’t run away with the top spot. As it stands though, it’ll take an almighty effort to stop Cristian Chivu’s side.

After the international break, Chivu will oversee his first Milan derby which provides the perfect opportunity to demonstrate their credentials and showcase why their stat-leading domination will prove vital.
