Ahead of Saturday’s friendly clash, FootItalia has the Inter vs Olympiacos preview, odds, betting tips, prediction and more.

Inter Vs Olympiacos Preview

The Nerazzurri have had an ‘unusual’ summer preparation period for the 2025-26 campaign. That is mainly owing to their involvement in FIFA’s new-look Club World Cup.

Cristian Chivu’s side played four competitive games in the US before bowing out of the tournament. In terms of actual club friendlies, the Romanian tactician has overseen just two fixtures so far.

On August 8, Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny scored in a 2-1 victory against Monaco at the Stade Louis II. Three days later, Inter got the better of Monza on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, the Greek champions will be playing their eighth club friendly on Saturday. So far, José Luis Mendilibar’s side has beaten all of their opponents bar Heerenveen and Napoli.

The Thrylos went down 2-1 to the Serie A champions at the Stadio Teofilo Patini on August 14. Matteo Politano opened the scoring for Antonio Conte’s side before Lorenzo Lucca doubled the lead. Chiquinho scored a consolation in stoppage time.

Inter Vs Olympiacos Team News And Predicted Lineup

With Inter only missing Davide Frattesi on Saturday, head coach Cristian Chivu is expected to use as many players as possible in Bari.

That will potentially include Yann Bisseck and Piotr Zielinski. The duo are returning to full fitness after injury lay-offs this summer.

New signings such as Petar Sucic, Luis Henrique and Ange-Yoan Bonny are all in line to feature. So could Francesco Pio Esposito who scored against Monza last time out.

Usual striking duo Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez will also be pushing hard to start. They both came off the bench against Monza on Tuesday.

Star defender Alessandro Bastoni is also likely to start from the off. The Azzurri international also came off the bench against the Serie B side.

Meanwhile, Olympiacos are expected to put their strongest XI out. A fine test awaits in Bari for the Greek champions who have a fully fit roster to pick from.

Inter Predicted XI: Sommer, Darmian, Bastoni, Augusto, Henrique, Sucic, Barella, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco, Martinez, Thuram

Inter Vs Olympiacos Prediction

Although Olympiacos can boast a strong pre-season so far, we are expecting Inter to come away with a victory in their last club friendly clash.

Head coach Cristian Chivu is likely to name his strongest team ahead of next week’s Serie A opener against Torino at the San Siro.

The Greek champions won’t be no pushovers, though. José Luis Mendilibar’s side have looked sharp and slick so far this summer.

However, Inter will likely have too much quality and should run out comfortable victors in Bari.

Prediction: Inter 3-1 Olympiacos

Inter Vs Olympiacos Betting Tips

  • Inter vs Olympiacos betting tip 1: Lautaro Martinez to score anytime at +400.

Lautaro Martinez is Inter’s star man and will be aiming to finish pre-season with a bang before the 2025-16 Serie A season gets underway. The 2022 World Cup winner netted against Monaco and is a safe wager at +400 to score anytime against Olympiacos.

  • Inter vs Olympiacos betting tip 2: Over 3.5 goals at +200.

Both teams have had plenty of goals in their pre-season matches so far and it’s fair to assume that trend will continue on Saturday in Bari.

The best form of defence seems to be attack where Inter and Olympiacos are involved so backing over 3.5 goals at +200 could generate a tidy return.
