Simone Inzaghi believes his Inter side ‘always have an obligation to play great games’ and offered an update on the Milan Skriniar situation. The Nerazzurri fought back from a goal down to secure a vital 2-1 win, thanks to a brace from captain Lautaro Martinez. Speaking to DAZN after the game (as quoted by Sky Sport Italia) the coach complimented Cremonese and touched on the upcoming midweek Coppa Italia match against Atalanta:

“I congratulated the team who played a great match. There was their ‘eurogoal’ that could have created some problems for us but we stayed on the ball. I’m happy with the character the team showed.

There was a young fan who was there the whole match, cheering us on, so I told Acerbi to give him his shorts at the end of the game. A lot of fans came here to Cremona and they supported us a lot.

Will I have Skriniar against Atalanta as well? You have to ask that question to Marotta and Ausilio. I cannot waste time imagining what happens in the future, I concentrate on the pitch.

We are Inter and we always have an obligation to play great games. We have to go forward match after match. We made thirty shots on goal keeping possession, a great reaction from the team.
